Unveiling: All New Honda CR-V Redefines Premium SUV Experience in Indonesia!-PT
Honda Prospect Motor has introduced the latest edition of the Honda CR-V at the
GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) held at the Indonesia
Convention Exhibition, BSD, on August 11, 2023. This sixth generation of the
Honda CR-V emerges as a premium SUV, offering a powerful and efficient hybrid
engine variant, advanced connectivity technology, and a comprehensive safety
feature suite.
The Honda CR-V is a globally
recognized SUV product by Honda, first launched worldwide in 1995. Each
generation of the Honda CR-V has been embraced by consumers, with over 13
million units sold globally. In Indonesia, the Honda CR-V has enjoyed
significant popularity since its initial launch in 2000, resulting in a
cumulative sales figure exceeding 237,000 units.
The debut of the All New Honda
CR-V's sixth generation occurred in the United States in 2022. Over the
generations, the Honda CR-V has evolved in terms of design, performance, and
technological advancements. The Indonesian version of the All New Honda CR-V
arrives with the theme "Ahead in Perfection," positioning itself as
Honda's premium SUV, showcasing luxurious design, driving comfort, powerful
performance, and cutting-edge technology.

For the first time in Indonesia,
the Honda CR-V presents the All New CR-V 2.0L RS e:HEV variant, equipped with
advanced hybrid technology and embodying the sporty character synonymous with
the RS line of Honda vehicles. Furthermore, the All New Honda CR-V is also
available in the 1.5L Turbo variant, featuring a 7-seater configuration to
accommodate larger passenger needs.
Expanding its features, the All
New Honda CR-V introduces Honda CONNECT, an advanced connectivity technology,
for the first time in Indonesia. This technology enables users to connect their
vehicles to smartphone applications, granting access to various functions and
essential information related to their cars. Honda CONNECT boasts three core
values: convenience, safety, and security, serving users with speedy
information access through smartphones.
Among its features, Vehicle
Status allows users to access real-time information about their vehicle's
condition, such as fuel levels, battery status, and airbag status. Remote
Vehicle Control permits users to operate vehicle functions via smartphones,
including locking/unlocking doors, starting the engine and A/C, as well as
causing the vehicle's lights to flash for locating purposes.
In terms of safety, Automatic
Collision Detection sends automatic notifications to emergency call center
support and the user's smartphone in the event of an airbag-deploying accident.
The system aims to provide immediate assistance. Additional safety features
include the Security Alarm, alerting users if the vehicle's alarm is triggered
due to unauthorized entry, and the Speed Alert, which sends notifications to
the user's smartphone when the vehicle exceeds predetermined speed limits.
To bolster security, the system
offers various features enhancing user confidence. Find My Car aids users in
locating their vehicle's current or parked position. Geofence provides
notifications when the vehicle enters or exits predetermined areas, while
Emergency Call connects users to Honda Customer Care and Experience Honda in
emergencies, enabling the Honda Call Center to summon nearby assistance.
For comprehensive safety, the All
New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV is equipped with the latest active safety technology,
Honda SENSING. The addition of the Adaptive Driving Beam function automatically
adjusts the distribution of the headlights' illumination when the vehicle
encounters other vehicles or objects ahead. Other Honda SENSING features
include the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control
with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF), Road Departure Mitigation System with
Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Lead Car Departure Notification System
(LCDN), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Auto High Beam (AHB).
Safety enhancements continue with
features such as Hill Descent Control, offering extra reassurance for
navigating steep and slippery terrain. The All New Honda CR-V is equipped with
a total of eight airbags, including Knee Airbags, ensuring occupants' safety in
various scenarios. The All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV includes Active Cornering
Light, aiding visibility when turning.
The exterior and interior design
of the All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV exudes a sporty and premium appearance. The
front grille is adorned with the RS emblem and Piano Black accents, while the
logo carries a blue hue signifying the hybrid engine. LED Headlights with LED
Sequential Turn Signals add to the vehicle's modern aesthetics.
Roof rails and a straight
rearward design contribute to the vehicle's robust and sturdy impression.
Handle pre-setting on the All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV automatically locks the
vehicle after the driver locks one door and closes the others. At the rear, LED
Tail Lights, LED Rear Fog Lights, and the e:HEV Emblem complement the design.
To enhance its premium and robust SUV image, the All New Honda CR-V features
19” black alloy wheels and the addition of a smoke color for the RS e:HEV
variant.
Moving inside, the All New Honda
CR-V RS e:HEV boasts a spacious and comfortable cabin, exuding a sense of
luxury and modernity. The cabin features premium material leather-trimmed seats
adorned with red stitching. The same material extends to the steering wheel,
accentuating a sporty feel, alongside the Driver Memory Seat and head-up
display.
The dashboard is updated with a
9” Display Audio supporting Android Auto™ and wireless Apple CarPlay®, as well
as a 10.2" Interactive TFT Meter Cluster with Customized Display Setting.
The All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV also offers Qi-compatible wireless smartphone
charging of up to 15W, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, and Interior
Ambient Light in white, placed in various locations such as the center console
tray, cup holders, and front and rear door panels.
Rear-seat passengers' comfort is
catered to with a second-row cabin featuring a Panoramic Sunroof, independent
temperature adjustment (left and right), rear ventilation, and an electrostatic
touch LED in the rear cabin lamp. Furthermore, rear-touch LED lights and two
USB Type C ports enhance comfort.
The All New Honda CR-V is
available in five color options: Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl,
Meteoroid Gray Metallic, the new Canyon River Blue Metallic, and Ignite Red
Metallic (exclusive to the RS variant). The All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV is
priced at Rp 799,900,000*, while the 1.5L VTEC Turbo variant starts at Rp
739,900,000 (On-the-road price for Jakarta's first ownership in 2023).
